Here is a summary to ensure you don’t forget anything before your admission to the clinic:

• Hair removal (using depilatory cream or an electric shaver).
• Skin preparation in the area to be operated.
• Trim your fingernails and toenails.
• Remove nail polish.
• Remember to take off your jewelry (rings, etc.).
• Administrative documents: up-to-date health insurance card and supplementary insurance, means of payment.
• Your crutches, compression stockings, and ice pack for the surgery.
• All your medical examinations: X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ECG, blood tests.
• Your personal medication.
• Your small suitcase: underwear, washcloth, towels, pajamas, soap, and toothbrush.
